Brain freeze.
Am I the only person who has to think--I mean, REALLY think--before pressing either of the two buttons that open or close the elevator doors?
There's this one, which I think closes the doors:
>|<
And this one, which I eventually realize will open the doors:
<|>
What the hell? Just put the words OPEN and CLOSED on there, too, for idiots like me. Though, truth be told, I seriously doubt either of those buttons does a damn thing, anyway.

Um, no. You are not alone. But I also have to stop every time someone says 'former' and 'latter' and think, "Now which is which? The former comes first, right? Because latter sounds kind of like later. So that means X was the former, so Y must be the latter." By which time I am already several laps behind in the conversation and looking like QUITE the moron.
And I often have to look at my hands to see which is left (makes an L, you know) and which is right.
Hi! Just happened upon you (via Jen's blog). I am so glad I am not the only one with the elevator thing. I try to hold the elevator for people who are running to make it and I SHUT THE DOORS ON THEM. I look like such a bitch, like they're slowing me down and I've got to get going. Or I just freeze, deer in headlights style, staring at those befuddling symbols.
Oh, No. I TOTALLY have to think about it!
